The 2010 Day of Service project took place at Our Mother of Sorrows School. Our Mother of Sorrows and its sister school St. Ignatius serves approximately 300 students and families in West Philadelphia. In addition to educating children in the community, each month Our Mother of Sorrows serves or delivers over 7000 meals.
Using the resources and skills of INTECH’s employees, and the generosity of several of our subcontractors, we renovated both interior and exterior spaces. The work included installation of new ceiling tiles, ceiling fans and rugs in classrooms; window sill and soffit repairs; new carpet tile on the stage area in the auditorium/lunch room; painting the servery dining room; and installation of a basketball hoop in the play area.
