The new Lenfest Hall, a music education and student residence building, was constructed on a 15,000 SF parcel on Locust Street that was formerly occupied by three structures. Two of the existing structures were designated historical; their façades were stabilized and restored. The third building was demolished. The new building houses dining rooms and a student lounge on the ground level, teaching studios and rehearsal spaces on the second. The third and fourth floors contain additional teaching spaces, and the fifth through ninth floors are configured as a student residence tower. The project has achieved LEED Gold Certification.
